That’s not good. Glad everyone is back safe on the ground. I’m sure we’ll be getting social media posts from inside the cabin soon, if it was an uncontained failure.
Well, the citizen who called in is going to have one heck of a story to tell around the Thanksgiving dinner table. I’m not engine repair specialist, but this seems like something that requires extensive repairs or a replacement entirely. I bet SY is sending an aircraft to do a recovery flight tonight or tomorrow. Sounds like it was a full flight, with 184 SOB.
will be an interesting story to watch for sure!
Uh oh, that’s not good
Yes! Especially since this is right during the Thanksgiving travel season, which is set to break MSP traffic records by 10%. Sun Country alone is expecting over 80K passengers in just a few days.
This A340 was cruising over my hometown a few days ago. I saw it overhead since it was clear. I wasn’t sure what it was at first, but I looked closely at the wings and something about it looked like it was a quadrujet. Well I was right! Low-key proud of myself. Oh also, it left awesome vapor trails.
When it comes to 737s, there is never good news. It is really sad that even with modern airport regulations we still lost a beautiful metal bird and a real living pilot :(
Call me a nerd… It’s fine, I am one 🤓🤣
I really like messing around with FR24’s filters… And this one caught me by surprise! United 767’s, both -300er and -400
Would I be more of a nerd if I said I’m surprised you didn’t know this already?
I knew it to some capacity, but this still surprised me a fair bit.
Yes you would
@Mort havent seen any videos yet but they got the affected 737 holed up in the SWA MX hangers at PHX
It’s crazy how that doesn’t make any local news reports unless I missed it, but a cat getting rescued from a 40ft tree makes headlines.
I don’t spend a lot time watching headlines so maybe it was reported somewhere.
rare or not?
its over australia btw
