Delta stored a few A332/A333s at the beginning of COVID but SAL also has a maintenance base so it could be for either one. The stopover in PHX could be for crew? Or some sort of international clearance that MZJ doesn’t have?

Yeah it probably has something to do with international clearance. Marana Pinal is basically only storage but there are a lot of international heavies. It was also wierd because it parked at one of the passenger terminals with a jetway.

Currently unknown, but it was probably some sort of maintenance issue.
G-VIIC was stored at Cardiff between June 26 and September 8. Today’s LHR-JFK flight was its first revenue flight since returning to service so something may have gone wrong in reviving the aircraft or it was just bad luck.

Squawk 7600 just means it can communicate with ATC… right?

Correct! 7600 means there is no two-way radio communication between the aircraft and ATC.
