Looking at the plane’s history, it seems to have flown for PSA doing American Eagle flights up to last September, then switched over to SkyWest and began flying United flights. Probably just an error on FR24 that it still shows American, because that’s definitely a UA flight

Yes, it’s a coronavirus thing. It’s a new stopover route due to Chinese flight restrictions. Operates as PEK-LAX-SFO-LAX-PEK. Just like the PEK-JFK-IAD-JFK-PEK route now. Previously, they each had their own PEK-LAX, PEK-SFO, PEK-IAD, PEK-JFK flights but they cut those and turned them into stopovers.
