Flight vectoring on my own in level 2?

I have recently subscribed to Navigraph/Simbrief with all the charts needed for approaches/missed approach procedures etc, which I print out for me to study my flight with the 737 Max. It has good stuff with v1 vr v2 vref+5, and flaps configuration calculations on many factors, which also gives me the 737 v2+15 takeoff speed (even without flight director command bars on the PFD:)) So to my question, if I approach Heathrow EGLL in online level 2, which has many users flying around waiting ATC to clear them for landing. Would it be ok for me just on my own to vector myself and fly to one of the two the NDB holding pattern points (1 minute turn), waiting there for my ATC landing clearance? I’m not able to make special requests with altitude/speed/heading changes and holding patterns.

online level 2? do you mean Training Server?
also, it should be ok to do that, unless ATC says otherwise.
For example, if approach tells you to follow a certain heading or altitude.

Alright, after studying the correct arrival procedure from BARMI, which my route goes to. Things now make sense, and I will be a bit more ready for the expert server:)

From Jeppesen (10-2A) „Warning Do not proceed beyond LAM VOR without ATC clearance.“

There‘s also a holding pattern on this LAM VOR, and holdings on some stars right before.
