Flight planning - manual input

hi there

there used to be a way to manually input a flight plan. I can’t seem to find that option anymore. it’s either Simbrief, or load a file. what version should this file be, btw?

You still can, just tap on the search bar when on full map view and type the waypoints. SIDs, STARs and Approaches can be loaded from the Procedures page of their respective airports.

to my second question, is there a specific format I need to use to import flight plans? thanks

This old thread may help, it mentions either XPL or KML files that can be added into the flightplan manager of the app.

Flight plan problem

Okay so for me it works. What I did: Go on simBrief, create a flight plan. Scroll down and choose Google Earth KML as the file type. Go on the website you mentioned, upload the file. It then automatically downloads the flight plan file in the .fpl format. Then, I went into the sim, spawned in somewhere and opened the flight plan view on the map. There I clicked on the button with the 2 arrows in opposite directions and chose the file. Did you do the exact same steps? Do you allow IF to access y…
