Flight plan

Hey guys, I was configuring a flight plan from Punta Cana (MDPC) to New York (KJFK) and as I was configuring the flight plan and my arrival into New York I noticed that there was some waypoints that would need to be deleted to make the flight plan make more sense but some of these waypoints are in the SID or STAR and when I delete them it ends up deleting the whole SID or STAR but not the waypoints just the one I deleted obviously and the name of the procedure alongside of the term “STAR” with its coloured line highlighting the waypoints of that procedure, is it unrealistic to delete waypoints in procedures like that if it makes my flight plan make more sense or is there a way to delete waypoints without literally deleting my whole procedure? Thanks!

No, there isn’t, are you using Simbrief? Because sometime Simbrief utilize some SID or STAR that aren’t in IF

Hello!

Yeah, SimBrief does make some inaccuracies when generating FPLs. That’s because the AIRACs aren’t the same in SimBrief compared to IF. That’s why there can sometimes be the procedures generated that aren’t in IF.

To prevent this I delete some falsely generated waypoint, and I change the SIDs/STARs because also the altitude restrictions aren’t really realistic and don’t correspond with the procedures in the sim.
