Hi I’m a returning user of this wonderful app and community. Before I took a hiatus I was using Fpl to IF for my flight plans. I just found out the website is down. Any suggestions of websites or apps to get real life flight plans? Thanks
FlightAware is one.
Simbrief is a really good one, it plans your flight plan, fuel, cargo (and passengers for airliner), and the devs recently added a feature that allows you to import everything directly from simbrief.
To add on to @MrNiceGuy73110_YT ‘s post, simbrief uses real world procedures and waypoints, to the best degree that it can, to plan flights, so it can give you a very realistic route. I know that it is best around the US but it does fairly well around the rest of the world
If you are educated enough and have the time, you can build one yourself off of a real route. Thats what I do for all my military flight plans. For commercial flight I use flightaware to decode them and provide me with everything. Keep in mind it only works on US Carriers for the most part, otherwise you have to build it yourself.
The easiest and most detailed one is Simbrief. FlightAware is great for flights within Canada and USA and to/from Canada and USA. Skyvector is a much more advanced software that you need a basic understanding of flight planning to use. Would be happy to know if there are others that the community uses!
