Flight plan after pause/resuming flight

Hey everyone,

I hope you are having a good weekend!

I just wanted to ask, why when pausing and resuming a flight, it does not show the full flight plan/flight time, only the plan/time from the point of resuming. I know theres likely a reason why, but to me does not make much sense. Part of the game i love is seeing other peoples routes, but since a lot are bow pausing (amazing feature btw) i cannot see their full flight plan/flight time, same with my own replays if it was paused/resumed.

I guess there is a reason for it, but why?

Thanks 😊

I don’t think I experience this. As someone who frequently uses flight resume, I see my complete flight plan and also I see my flight time in whole and not just from the point of resuming the flight. I hope you’re not talking about some 3rd party IF tracking website or application.

No I dont use any third parties. This is purely from the app. For example i saw someone yesterday who had almost done a NZAA-EGLL but they had paused over europe and said their flight time was only 1 hour but their origin airport was NZAA and it only showed the flightplan from where they had paused. I understand the replays would be separated, but when i am in the app in flight, i just assumed it would still show the entire flight plan.

I assume you mean flight path instead of flight plan? I guess this happens due to the application not being able to recall your previous flight path.

For other people, many make changes to their flight path mid air so even though you see NZAA as origin the flight path could show something different.

OP is talking about how when you tap on other aircraft on the map (who have paused/resumed their flight), you only see stats from the point where they resumed.

I think this is just a consequence of reconnecting to the server - it’s more of a quality of life issue than anything else.
