I know you’re flying out of Munich with Vueling today and we taxied right behind this one who then pushed back after we passed, around 04:00 German time.

I also saw a load of other aircraft which I couldn’t picture as we made a very short taxi to runway 26R and an immediate takeoff. A few notable other aircraft:

  • EasyJet A320 ‘Carrot’ livery
  • Emirates A380
  • Norwegian B787 Dreamliner
  • Multiple British Airways B777-200ER’s

Not often I fly from Gatwick so it was nice to see some heavy’s rather than just smaller Boeings.

No, mine had sharklets. And I took off at 10AM :)

Just landed back at EGKK. Landed on runway 26R, yes 26 Right which is surprising (this is never used at EGKK in normal operations). We had to hold for 15 minutes as the Air traffic controllers closed runway 26L for maintenance work and then opened runway 26R to cover during the works. A lack of approach lights meant they orange beacon lights on the ground instead. Saw a few Thomson 787 Dreamliners at Gatwick and an Emirates A380 at Munich
