I would just like some feedback on my approach, landing and overall flight. I also have 2 questions:
1: when ATC says turn left/right 090* for example and maintain 4000 feet till established ok the localiser am I allowed to turn the plane into the localiser if I am off track. Or do I have to stay the at given degree.
2: why was I told to look at the quite for ATC as I came off the runway? I thought I am not allowed to cross the yellow line until told to?
I haven’t watched the replay but in general if ATC’s final vector to the LOC overshoots it, then making a small adjustment to intercept it shouldn’t be a problem. When exiting a runway, always cross the holding point, or “yellow line.” ATC wants you off the runway ASAP. You need permission to cross the holding point when entering, not exiting, the runaway.
This applies for entering the runway, not exiting the runway. In your case you caused a runway incursion. You are very lucky ATC didn’t give you a Level 3 violation for it.
