I recently opened up a Southwest Airlines crash pad in Nashville since the airline opened a crew base here! Iāve been holding onto so many aviation-themed items over the years; Pictures, models, blankets, etc.
Two years ago, Facebook Marketplace came in the clutch and i got my hands on a row of Alitalia Air seats that were pulled from one of their MD-80s that flew in the 80s! Original contents in the seatback pockets and everything! Since then, Iāve dreamed of getting my hands on a row of Southwest seats.
Today, my vision is coming to life! Facebook Marketplace came in the clutch again and blessed my feed with a brand new row of emergency exit seats off of a Southwest Airlines 737-800 or MAX8.
My vision is to have the two rows facing each other and create a little lounge out of the space. Find a cool night stand to place next to the Southwest seats since itās just a row of two, and then have a coffee table in between the rows. If Iām really lucky, would love to find an actual emergency exit window to include in the space.
Excited to find more treasures and see what all i can do with this crash pad space! Happily taking ideas as well!š
Happy flying to you allāļø
Literally had that thought! Would like to have a gallery cart right next to the Southwest seats. Every one Iāve found that is in good shape is $500+ and a good 5hr drive one way to pickup. Might invite a friend and make a roadtrip out of itā¦if theyāre willing to go down on the price
