Flaps Issue

This is what I am talking about:)

That is the Flaperon.

That looks like the flaperon behind the engine.

It will move independently of the flaps in flight.

Thanks for the info but I know what flaperon is!!
When you see the second picture, you can see that the flap is not retracted fully! That’s what I’m talking about.

Yes I know and I would really love working flaperon in 777:)

I’m currently flying from YBCS to YMML in a B788 and I do see what you are talking about. I’m not sure if this is what happens in real life.

The flaps and the ailerons in real life are under large aerodynamic strain due wing loading. Also they are never perfectly aligned so they always have gaps. They wobble about all over the place!

As a computer modeller as well I get that it’s very difficult to get ‘perfect’ vertex alignment when a model is being manipulated.

The picture you put up looks pretty accurate for real flight to me!

the first time you see a supposedly ‘solid’ object flex, even if you are expecting it, is slightly concerning!

As a Cadet at sea the first time I saw my ship ‘flex’ crossing the Atlantic really opened my hours, even though I knew it would happen!

Vid here showing a ship flexing…not mine though!
