Since we now have the speed limit indication on the HUD, it would be even more realistic to have an indicator highlighting the speed when the flaps should be retracted or extended. Here is a visualisation.

I believe that we have a partial rendition of this now in HUD but it’d be nice to have a full representation of it. You’d have to add an FMS to it pretty much and each individual plane would have to be tested as such.

Wouldn’t we need working cockpit instruments for this?
It could be added to the current HUD system that we have now. But if something was being worked on, it would be nice to have working glass as well.

I would love to see this added. Right now I have a yellow legal pad with those types of numbers written down but I haven’t found all of them yet.

In the cockpit of the A380 and the A321, if you zoom in there is a small panel that shows you the flap setting and what speed it should be deployed at.
