The Trim of the A330 Just needs to be fixed, Every time when I takeoff and put on Autopilot it keeps going left to right and stalling until it crsshes. Please help me.
Sounds like you need to rotate at a faster speed and/or have a lighter load or wait until youâre at a faster speed for autopilot
Autopilot prioritizes climb rate over speed, so lower the V/S and you should be good
I usually use VS 2000 for cruise
And works perfectly for me
Well, the trim is to adjust aerodynamic forces, so it couldnât be like banking to left or right because of the trim. Or just decrease vs
Thereâs nothing wrong with the A330. The cause of the stall is likely one of the following.
-
Activating the autopilot at an unsustainable climb rate and not reducing vertical speed accordingly. The unstable climb rate could be reached by rotating too early or too fast or pitching too steeply after takeoff.
-
Setting the vertical speed too much higher than it was when activating the autopilot.
I recommend this video for learning how to climb properly:
The only thing it gets wrong is the Mach transition. You shouldnât accelerate/decelerate to Mach climb speed when you reach FL280. You should keep climbing at the speed you accelerated to at 10,000 ft until you reach your Mach climb speed naturally, whether that occurs at, before, or after FL280. Additionally, Mach climb speed is not always the same as cruise speed.
Hey, with he A330 you have to treat her like sheâs a heavy aircraft even if you have a light payload/weight, I typically use flaps 1+F or 2 with 88% power and 30-40% trim (Iâm not sure what the N1 is for the takeoff off the top of my head) I then climb at +2000ft per minute then I go down to +1800ft then the higher I go +1000ft. It took me a while to get use to but once you get the hang of flying with different payloads itâs a dream of an aircraft to fly đ
If you give me an email Iâll send you a video of a takeoff because it wonât let me share it here.
You can use this website to upload and share replays
Captain, thank you very much. It tells me that the format is not compatible. I did it with an iPhone screen fragment. It wonât let me share it.
Try uploading the replay to your files then when you go to the website select âChoose Filesâ and select the file that you uploaded as the replay
You cannot upload regular video formats to the website linked above. You can only upload Infinite Flight replays. To do that, head to the logbook, find the replay of the incident flight â 3 dots in the top right corner â Share â choose a suitable option (Safari/Chrome if you opt to share through the website above). Alternatively, you can upload the replay to Google Drive or a similar cloud service - just ensure the file is set to be visible to âAnyone with the linkâ.
engines are a bit underpowered for the A330, so make sure you reduce the V/S as you climb, especially in the flight levels.
