Last Friday I was incredibly fortunate to be able to get to fly a Honda Jet for some flight training hours. I also took part in my 9th year of the OU Flight Academy going into my Freshman year if HS in which i got the opportunity to fly one of their Warriors. I haven’t posted in a while so I am a bit rusty on making topics. Anyways, let’s get started shall we?
First we obviously have to take a few pictures and perform the walk around.
Then the inside preflight(we had to start over a few times to reboot the system)
I got to do most of the stuff except for ForeFlight(bc i don’t have it) so we had to use his, and a few radio calls and both landings.
We took off from KPWA( Wiley Post Airport) and flew to KTUL(Tulsa International) for the first leg.
then we did a system reboot at TUL and went back to PWA.
Earlier that day I flew a Piper Warrior 3 from OU’s flight school as a tradition that the OU Flight Camp does on Fridays. (We definitely didn’t forget to put in the mixture and fail to start 5 times😬)
So I would say it was a pretty good day of flying! I got to do almost all of the radio calls by myself and did both takeoffs in the HJet (boy is that a rocket ship) and got 1.6 hours in my logbook! So now i’m at 15 manual landings that i did myself and 5.2 hours of flight time!
