huh? how does that work out? Aren’t winglets DESIGNED to increase fuel efficiency during flight?
Thank you, sir. Someone had to say it.
They are folding wingtip so it can fit in current 777 gates
okay, so they are still being used in flight?
No, they are in a fixed (unfolded) position during flight. They will be folded in once on the ground to fit into current gates, as @Daniel14 mentioned.
lol as can I, but they are not winglets
Just keep it to yourself next time, I don’t need the full run down.
Just trying to inform everyone because winglets and folding wingtips serve as two entirely different functions on aircraft😄
Maybe take this to a PM?😜
Omg does it really matter !!
I really can’t wait to see it in the Boeing livery flying for the first time!
I can’t wait to hear the beautiful GE9X’s 😩 I can”t believe they have the largest fan blades!
I’d that a rendering?! Its beautiful.
Oh my god, i can’t wait to hear that screaming outta an airport!
I’m still impressed how long the wing is
Yes, it does matter. Its like calling an engine a “motor.” These terms are not interchangeable. Definitions matter.
I’ve heard them run out here at VCV during testing, man they sounded awesome and so elegant at the same time
Is that same engine as the 787?
I believe not as these are much…MUCH bigger than the 787s. They have similiar names though.
