Fire Attack Helicopter Pilot Taken Away By Plane

On Monday, August 24th, a helicopter pilot fighting a fire near Mt. Hood, was killed. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.

This afternoon, August 27, the pilot was taken back to their home town in Montana, via a Cessna Caravan, departing Hood River airport at around 11:45 am.

A mass of fire crews and police officers joined the salute for the hero that died in the line of duty. Here are some photos that I took.

Here is the video I took of the departure

That’s really sad. Rest in Piece.

His service to the people of the United States shall be remembered.

This is really saddening. He died a hero on the line of duty, and his service will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace.
