Currently at CYYC there is an aircraft fire at Gate B33. Our aircraft has since been evacuated as has the entire B Terminal. Seems that everyone is ok, I will post updates as I hear more.
Oh my gosh. Hopefully everyone is safe. It doesn’t look horrible and it looks like it’s contained to the aircraft/gate so that’s better than an airport wide fire.
Do you know where it is coming from (What per of the aircraft)?
Glad that you are safe!
Be careful mate! Make sure everyone is safe. This could make it to the news, not another ACI video please!!! :)
It was the baggage loader/rear cargo hold. Unsure where it started as it was already on fire when I boarded my plane.
It might’ve been something in one of the passengers bags that caught alight?
I cant telll if the actual aircraft is on fire or not
What is happening to this years aviation. Its gone very bad so far. Hope your safe.
Wow. In real life, I wouldn’t be taking pictures, I would be scavenging to get off the plane in case of fire spread. It’s a good thing this wasn’t on your plane, but still, that’s pretty dangerous
It was hard to tell, but it looked like there was also fire inside the cargo hold. I didn’t dare take pictures on the ground after we were evacuated ;)
You should have taken a video… You could have made national news! (But no really, good thing your safe — That’s pretty scary)
I took the pictures before they decided to evacuate us. The fire got a lot bigger after the pictures. It was surrounding the wing by the time we were evacuated.
Aircraft Information:
Registration: C-GUWJ
Model: Boeing 737-700
Last Flight: CYVR - CYYC

Wow, and considering you were on the flight right next to it. That’s amazing, glad nothing went terribly wrong
Wow, what a rare occasion to witness, glad you are okay!
Safe journey! What a catastrophe you were able to take a picture of. Have a good flight.
WestJet Fire Aircraft, cleared for takeoff XD
Hope the aircraft isn’t too damaged.
I really do hope that the people in the B terminal are ok
imagine if you were at the gate and you saw your plane catch fire and then like 3 hours later they said everyone can board the same plane. lol
