Event History
If you have been around for a while, it’s likely that you will recognize us from the last few events our Balkan group has organized. Our small, but really strong group has decided to organize a third event in one of the plain gorgeous region of the world – The Balkans.
“Where and what are the Balkans?” you might ask. The Balkans are located in the southeastern part of Europe. They are named after the Balkan mountain, which is spread across Bulgaria, and is now called Stara Planina (which translates to Old Mountain). The Balkans are home of many different cultures and traditions, but they certainly do not stop its members from being close with each other.
This event was designed to show you the beauty of the Balkans, as all of our other events. The theme for this one is a ski trip! This event is going to take you to some really intriguing places to go on skiing, snowboarding, or just sip on some hot chocolate.
To avoid lacking people, we’re going to use the wave system. That way, there will (hopefully) be a suitable time for people all over the world and you will all have a chance to explore this magnificent region.

Ljubljana’s airport is surrounded by the Alps on the northern side and has tall hills south of it.
Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (IATA: LJU; ICAO: LJLJ) serves the city of Ljubljana and the region surrounding it. It’s by far the biggest passenger airport in Slovenia. It’s operated by Fraport Slovenia and has handled 1.7 million passengers in 2019. The airport features a 10827ft-long runway (3.3km). Long haul aircraft can also operate at this airport.
The airport is served by 20 passenger airlines and 1 cargo company. However, only 14 of the passenger airlines are in the list, as only these airlines are represented in Infinite Flight.

LDZA – Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport
Zagreb’s airport is located south of the city of Zagreb. There are low mountains close to Zagreb, which makes it an excellent destination for a winter break.
Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport (*IATA: ZAG; ICAO: LDZA) is the largest international airport in Croatia. It was built to serve Zagreb and regions in a short radius around it. Its handler is MZLZ, Groupe ADP. The airport has handled 3.45 million passengers in 2019. It features a 10,666ft-long runway (or 3.25km), which allows for long haul jets to operate at this airport.
The airport is used by 27 passenger carriers and 4 cargo operators. Only 19 of the passenger carriers are featured in this event, as only these ones are represented in Infinite Flight.
