So I’m trying the Expert server but didn’t dare showing up in busy airport, is there anything that i should avoid or is there any difference between the training and expert server?
Didn’t want to messed up (๑´•.̫ • `๑)
(And yeah this might be my first post here, I’m pretty new)
Yes, there are big differences between the Training and Expert Servers. The main one is the fact that the Expert Server is stricter than the Training Server; in fact, human-generated violations take place in addition to the system-generated ones present on the Training Server as well. The people who can issue violations are IFATC controllers while controlling an airspace/airfield (qualified controllers who, unlike the controllers on the Training Server, who can be anyone, passed some Tests and follow some precise rules), and IFATC Supervisors, Moderators and Staff, who can report you (= give you a Level 2/3 violation) also as pilots. You can learn more about violations here.
Generally speaking, the ES is a place where all rules have to be followed, whether you are in a busy airspace or alone at an airport with no one nearby. Follow the ES rules, follow the ATC instructions, and always pay attention to your surroundings during the critical phases of a flight.
I would suggest having a look at the User Guide, as Cwaker mentioned above. This will help you understand the general rules. As far as anything you should avoid, obviously, you need to avoid flying unprofessionally. Regarding airports or airspace to avoid, there’s not really anything you should avoid as long as you fly according to the rules. I made a similar post, which could answer your question, here:
Thanks! That’s something i could imagine (and realized I’ve making a mistakes) for the user guide, i need time to access it. My connection is a bit unstable lately, took a long time just to load some pages or sites
No worries! And that’s a shame regarding your internet connection. Just in case you need a link to the User Guide, one of the most important ones is the Flying Guide:
You may also access it (and a couple of others) via the “User Guide” button at the top of this forum’s page. I’d suggest you have a look at the Ground School section of the IFC as well. It includes some nice official and unofficial (so, made by other community members like us) tutorials of many kinds!
