Lately, over the UK we were blessed with clear skies. That meant being able to see planes at cruise level fly over me. They were so easy to spot because of the contrails. I’ve taken hundreds of photos over the past week or so but these are my favourite ones. Also these photos aren’t in chronological order and are in a random order as these are taken over numerous days. Please keep in mind that my camera is pretty old and while it is able to spot planes at 30,000+ feet in the air, it really is at the upper bound of what my camera is able to do thus the quality isn’t as great.

Camera: Sony DSC - HX300
To start off I captured this Delta A330-300 bound for SLC @PhorzaSky and @Hopperbolic summon
To continue with the Delta theme (there was a LOT of Delta planes flying over me) we have this butter machine NEO (@United403 summon) bound for @Anthony_Gulluscio land (JFK) from Amsterdam.
Next we have yet another Delta (Delta pilots love flying over me) but this time going to @Mort land (MSP) from Amsterdam.
This was a cool shot I’d thought you’d like. It was a very busy day to fly.
This BA A380 was going back home to London after flying 9 and a bit hours from San Francisco.
This was taken only a few days ago unlike the other ones which were taken about a week ago. This ACA B77W was flying back home to Toronto.
I know this isn’t a great shot but I had to add it because I have a bias towards the B767 and plus this rarely flies over me. This particular one was the B767-400 and was flying back home to Atlanta. On this day a lot of western bound flights were taking a more northerly route most likely because of the jet stream.
Nature.
I know this isn’t a great picture and certainly wasn’t among my better ones but this is the same Polish Government Gulfstream that was spotted by @Dub_aviation on the same day. This was it at cruise heading towards Dublin where later that day Dub_aviation undoubtedly got a better picture.
Another dodgy shot but I’ll wrap this topic up with a special. This was a Turkish Air Force A400 flying from Prestwick. I don’t know where it landed but it is cool seeing military aircraft flying over you. It’s fascinating to find out that even propeller aircraft can form contrails when at the right altitude. I’m glad it did otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to take a picture of it.
Thank you for viewing my amateur photos. I’d love to get a new and better camera so these pictures will be in even better quality. Hopefully this topic in the RWA and Spotting section has more success than my last one.
