Finally, Good weather in Dublin for Planespotting!

I want to say thank you to @AndrewWu for all the planespotting tips he told me, he is a reason why my photos have improved. Today was a very unusual day for us as we never get nice weather during Easter. I took a chance and went planespotting in Dublin. I was meant to check out a new spotting location but it is currently covered in bushes so I went to the usual spots to capture these birds. I spotted lots of airlines that are from abroad and one that I may never see again with my eyes, Yes the Icelandair boeing 757-200 which is set to retire this year. I might spot a Condor but not this bird ever again.

Did you ever spot an icelandair 757? Share your photos in the thread if so.

  • I did spot an Icelandair 757 before
  • I never did but wish

When I head to one of the shops I’ll tell you

If you check your dms you’ll see that I sent you a picture of that exact Polish Government Gulfstream flying over me hoping that you’d take a picture of it when you were plane spotting. It’s so cool that you spotted it on finals when about an hour before I spotted it during cruise.

Great shots, just a shame about the planned spotting area being scrapped over planning permission, they’re in the process of getting new permission from the council which my dad is a member of. It would bring much needed planespotters to a safe and accessible area instead of the mount which if you fall esp during a wet day, you could end up on the main road there, which is a very busy road.

I was meant to visit a spot located right next to the blue car park, it is covered in large bushes now so not an ideal place to planespot.

It’s not great and the council has received complaints with regards to health & Safety regarding this, Aswell with tidiness and cleanness, it’s not a great look when tourist plane spotters come from the UK or the US and see this is what we have. I believe the new spotting area will be fantastic. From what I’ve being told and it’s only in the planning stages, is to bring a coffee shop that sells bagels, toasties etc, they might charge for parking however

Funny to see this jet here, only crossed my path two months ago in the US departing Eagle for the flight back to Ireland

Oh, and yes, I only recently spotted an Icelandair 757:
