Finally Back Plane Spotting After 5 Months!

So, since March most countries have been in lockdown, meaning most countries stopped people from traveling abroad, thankfully, as of July, some countries have started easing restrictions (including mine) so when I found out Dublin Airport was opening back up, I just had to clear my schedule and spend a day down there.
Side note: the quality of some of these aren’t the best I know, but after 5 months of not using my camera, I’m a little rusty 😂

When I arrived at one of many spotting locations at EIDW, two Aer Lingus A330-300s were getting ready to takeoff,

I’m still not sure which one I rather out of the new Aer Lingus livery or the older livery 🤔🤔

Shortly after an Aer Lingus A320 (Irish Rugby Team Livery) departed on its way to Rome.

Of course, plane spotting at Dublin Airport is not complete without Ryanair

I then waited about an hour, nothing really interesting, until a Qatar A350-900 started pushing back. My phone had died so I couldn’t check FR24, so I was overjoyed when it began taxiing to the runway!!

I’ve never seen an A350 before in person, this was a first for me, so you can imagine how happy I was to get a few shots of it!! And I definitely wasn’t disappointed

Next an Aer Lingus A321NEO departed inbound for Boston.

And last but not least, an Emirates B777-300ER. I can’t get enough of this aircraft! It’s always great to get a few shots of it

I hope you like my pictures, I’m still not sure if this spotting location is that good, there’s definitely better, but it’s still good. Thanks for looking at them! 😁😁 I’m open to constructive criticism, so if there’s anything I can improve on, it would be greatly appreciated.

Nice shots overall! I personally prefer spots closer to the runway (so that you are basically eye level with the planes), but I am not sure whether that’s possible in Dublin. The weather makes it really difficult to have great contrasts (had that yesterday spotting as well), but overall really nice pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Ye Dublin does have a spotting location like that, I don’t know why I didn’t go to it 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ The weather is definitely a killer ye, but unfortunately that’s what the weathers like in Ireland 😂😂

Brilliant shots Seán. You’ve done better than me, the last time I went spotting was 8 months ago! Loving the Qatar A350 close up. Best one for me.

Also is there a way you can make the portrait ones landscape?

These are so cool. Wish I could go plane spotting, but the nearest airport to me is an hour away, and it’s not that busy as it usually is. For obvious reasons…

Fixed that, must have been the editing I did 😆😆

I know how you feel lol. EIDW is around a 3 hour journey for me, but I consider it worth it, 😁

Welcome to Ireland 🇮🇪 the weather is exactly like that for 300+ days a year here.
People say UK weather is awful but Ireland is even worse. I’ve lived here for 16 years 😞

Btw nice pics @Sean_McCormack, love to see Dublin Airport getting attention!
