Upon hearing of the very near update bringing a new Cessna 208, I decided to take the old model for a spin.
Flight Information
Flight Time: 1 hour 45’
Aircraft: Cessna 208
Departure Airport: Rio de Janeiro Airport “Jacarepagua” (RRJ/SBJR)
Arrival Airport: Campinas International Airport “Viracopos” (VCP/SBKP)
Callsign: Azul 5145
Boarding at Rio’s third little-known airport.
Slowly lifting off for the last time from Jacarepagua’s short runway.
The brave Cessna 208 battling turbulence at 20,000 feet.
One last look at the old airplane as we prepare to greet the new 208.
So as I waited to get the update, I tried flying in the old servers for a test to see how it was. It was weird, interesting, and fun at first, however it got boring really fast as IFATC completely abandoned the server and Training overtook Expert in popularity. As more and more players updated their games without looking back, the remaining players stranded on the old servers erupted into complete anarchy, created an “Expert” server environment never seen before (that is, if you were lucky to have anyone within 1000 miles of you). When the official broadcast telling users of the old server’s imminent sunset, I decided to take the old 757 United livery on a last spin on today’s featured route. Los Angeles and London had been completely ditched leaving the Big Apple as the only ragtag sign of life on the server.
Flight Information

Arrival Airport: Orlando International Airport (MCO/KMCO)

Taking a look at today’s 757, in the Continental livery.
Blasting off with the 757’s monstrous engines one last time, knowing well enough I might go down with the server.
Looking out at the endless ocean as we take the oceanic route down to Gator land.
Slamming into Magic City as I smash down into a Florida runway time after time (@Waxyscorpion308 summon?).
Managed to escape the server!
Not bad…
So as I thought all was saved, I realized, that I had another flight active on training! This one is flying right now, and is currently exactly an hour out.
