Feedback on ATC Parking Assignment at CDG

Hello,

I would like to share a frustrating experience I had today.

After landing at Paris Charles de Gaulle and crossing Runway 27L, Ground asked for my intentions. I stated that I wanted to taxi to Terminal F, Gate 8. Instead, I was assigned a remote stand.

Then… I repeated one more and last time that I wanted to park at Terminal F, Gate 8, but I was assigned the same remote stand again and was told not to insist.

What made this even more disappointing is that the assigned stand had nothing to do with Air France operations or where Air France’s A220-300 aircraft are normally parked at CDG.

I had clearly stated my intentions, and having them ignored negatively affected the experience.

This is a bug (where the gate assignment on the controller’s end is different than what the pilot requested) that has been reported I believe.

While this is a good reminder to all IFATCs to double-check pilots’ gate requests, you should instead share feedback to controllers privately.

Name-dropping them on public forums is not the way to go. See below:
