FedEx to Burbank!

Well everybody, I wanted to make this post to celebrate the 767 getting reworked, so now i’m sad.

Join me for a flight today as I take FedEx 1805 Heavy from Portland to Burbank. @Prestoni summon.

We loaded up the cargo at the FedEx apron and got settled in the flight deck. About 30 minutes later, we pushed back and fired up the engines.

After getting our taxi clearance, we started the rollout to runway 10R. Got our takeoff clearance, spooled up the engines, and shot off 10R into the cold Portland air.

Climbout was smooth, and we settled into a quick climb up to FL350. Nice and quiet up there. We passed Fresno as we started our descent from FL350 down to FL310, and a couple of minutes later, we began setting up for the arrival into Burbank.

It was a windy day in Burbank, so the crosswind approach to runway 33 was in play. We made the left bank onto final over Burbank and Magnolia Blvd, keeping things steady despite the gusts.

Touchdown was smooth, and we rolled out to exit at A2. Taxied over to the FedEx ramp, cleaned up the aircraft, and ran through the final checklists.

Once everything was shut down, we stepped off as she got ready for her next leg to Memphis as FedEx 1213.

Thanks for taking a look! What do you think? Should the 767 have won the poll? I’m fuming right now—how about you? Let me know which photo was your favorite, and have a good day! Unless you voted for the 787—looking at you, @PhorzaSky jk.

Typo  (10)

sad the 767 wont get updated now

Well, thats not the case. It simply wont be reworked NOW. It doesn’t mean it wont get it in the future. The problem with that, it the 767 is dwindling in numbers and by the time it gets reworked, very few will still be flying. Thats why this poll was so important, it was a now or never kind of situation.

Very few will still be flying, that’s true and that’s why I wanted that B767-300 to win for the rework and thus, wanted it to be reworked soon so that I can have a chance to fly that reworked B767-300 before all the airlines retire their B767’s. But since the B767-300 didn’t win, oh well, I might as well be okay with the B787-9 rework since it is more fuel efficient and thus, many flights, international flights operated on the B787-9 aircraft. So therefore, I will be looking forward unto flying that reworked B787-9 once the update comes out and hopefully for the next battle of heavies rework, the B767-300ER will win for the next rework.
