Feature to Add Approach Procedures in ATIS

Feature Description:

We have the feature to add recommended or required STARs and SIDs in ATIS. We do not have a feature to add the desired Approach procedures in ATIS. It could be very helpful to have desired Approach procedures in ATIS in order to accommodate most aircrafts on their flight plans, even in busy airspaces.

Below is a screenshot of the Approach procedure selected on the ATC procedures menu. It will display the selected procedures on the ATC controlling screen.

In the above screenshot, The Approach procedures can be displayed after the STAR’s in ATIS and can be used at IFATC controller’s discretion.

Also, we do have this Feature in real life.

Reference JFK ATIS (IRL):

JFK ATIS INFO A 0751Z. 00000KT 10SM BKN220 BKN250 19/16 A3023 (THREE ZERO TWO THREE). APPROACH IN USE RNAV GPS Z RY 13L. DEPG RY 13R. RWY 4L, 22R CLSD. RY 22L GS OTS. DPK VOR OTS. BIRD ACTIVITY VICINITY ARPT. NUM CRANES OPERATING AT JFK. …ADVS YOU HAVE INFO A.

Here we can see that the Approach in Use is mentioned. It would be quite helpful to have such a feature in Infinite Flight as well. Hoping that this would be beneficial for not just the IFATC controllers but also for the pilots. If you would like this feature to be added in Infinite Flight, do give this Feature a vote. Thank you for your support!

This would be a great expansion to the “Expect ILS/GPS/Visual” message we can currently add.

I’m out of vote unfortunately but as voice my support for this :)

Great request, this would make controlling at bigger airports much easier with less vectoring. Voted!

I’ve voted for this.

I think something like, “Expect ILS 23L Z Approach” would work for infinite flight.

Bumping as this would be a super useful addition to the more procedure-based approach we’re looking to take in radar controlling. It would allow for super streamlined operations at busy airports where everyone chooses to file a slightly different approach that may compromise spacing!
