Runway 32 LYTV, beautiful!
I’ve been summoned! Dubrovnik is my favorite European airport
runway 8 at jenanu
2NCO Runaway 32 absolute favorite 🤩
same, I live right under the Canarsie approach - when they use the runway we get to hear planes at 500-1500 feet screaming loudly every 45 seconds, 24/7 sometimes
This looks like the ST. Bart approach lol
If you want to go by small airplanes, then Lukla Airport is the most dangerous.
What’s unique about Toncontin is that the airport is located in a bowl, requiring very low altitude tight turns in large commercial jets with a short runway that ends with a twenty-foot drop into an embankment over a freeway. With high winds and zero-visibility conditions at times.
Queenstown approach is nice!!
Kos is a decent approach too but fly a little too low and you could hit the mountains 😬
The approach into SFO is just so beautiful
Love to do some fun/challenging visuals:
Aspen rwy 15 visual is a classic
Also the visuals at all the NYC airports (definitely not biased😛. But give ‘em a shot if you never did, they’re fun):
JFK rwy 13L Canarsie visual
LGA rwy 31 park visual
EWR rwy 29 stadium visual
Also recently flew MIA-DOM to try the visual for rwy 09 at Dominica (TDPD) for a challenge, crazy approach
MYEN is my go-to scenic approach, fly into there all the time
DCA runway 19
LGA runway 13
ATH runway 03B
BUR
HNL runway 8L
Funchal.
Eagle County.
Kathmandu.
Polderbaan.
Gibraltar.
LOWI, no matter the runway or approach procedure. The way you go from flat terrain to being surrounded by mountains within minutes is something else! It’s a great recommendation for anyone wanting to fly to a fun and challenging airport within Europe :)
