Favorite Liveries or Last Livery Stays

A bit of a user interface feature, but more like a user experience thing…

Do you want to skip those 2-3 taps and some needed scrolling when changing liveries?

I play on 2 devices, some of the players I know also have two devices.

Most of the time, I do my long-haul flights on iPad, and do other IF things on iPhone, like practice landings, attend ATC training sessions, etc.

So I switch planes a lot. And I’m sure I’m not alone. People switch planes several times.

My favorite B738M livery is the IF one since I don’t use it on real flights. My most used livery of the A339 is the AirAsiaX since I use that for my Virtual Airline. For other planes that don’t have the IF livery, I use generic for training or when practicing landings.

Now imagine: a star or a button next to your favorite livery. When you switch to that plane, that livery is automatically selected, instead of defaulting to the first livery on the list.

Or maybe: use the Infinite Flight livery for the max. Then you use a VA plane on your next flight. Oh, you want to use the max again, the IF livery is pre-selected since you used that last.

This means your VA planes will automatically have their liveries selected if it was used last, or if it was marked as favorite.

No need for those 2-3 taps and some scrolling to find it.

Just a little QOL feature for the folks would be nice.

Yeah, I already mentioned that, some scrolling and 2 to 3 taps.

And yes, mobile simmers take the time to find routes and gates, which take several minutes at max. I get it.

But won’t it be nice? 😏

Yes, it would be very nice. Even for developers. Just implement a little “favorite function” in the main menu would be a walk in the park for them instead of implementing a complex new airplane or recoding a whole 3D globe with a new graphics engine for around 4 years. 😂😉

To be honest I don’t mind it the way it is. Sometimes I want to play, but I actually don’t know which plane / livery to choose. So I scroll. Kind of like shopping I suppose 😂.

But I understand where you’re coming from! A quality of life feature I suppose 👍

Yeah it won’t affect you that much if you kinda randomize it.

In any case, this feature won’t harm anyone.

It’s either you like it, or you’re meh. But I can’t imagine anyone disliking it.
