When trying to file a flight plan on fpltoif.com, then generating on simbrief: I don’t know why, but this is only happening with Istanbul Airport (LTFM) the new one of course. No problems with Istanbul Ataturk(LTBA) or any other airport in the world. Any reason behind this? Thanks!
This is because LTFM is a very new airport, just opened this year. It’s not in simbrief yet. You’ll also have this problem if you try to make a flight plan going to ZBAD, because it is also brand new.
It did give me the runway options to select though
On simbrief or fpltoif.com?
Your AIRAC Cycle must be too old. Simbrief’s default AIRAC Cycle is too old, so an error occurs when trying to use the correct SIDs/STARs for the airport.
Oh is it diffrent? To answer your question: fpltoif.com
I’d guess so. Fpltoif might use one set of data to populate runway numbers, and then it utilizes simbrief to make the plan.
It could also be the AIRAC cycle, me turned above.
I’m not sure, all I know is the airport is too new to be included.
If you look at the picture, it says that it failed because it is an unknown arrival airport. In SimBrief’s default AIRAC Cycle, LTFM doesn’t exist yet, so it fails to recognize the airport & is unable to create a flight plan.
Alright thanks! I thought fpltoif.com and simBrief were connected, so I was wondering why it wasn’t working
Check this answer/thread out:
It’s the AIRAC cycle. I have navigraph so I get latest airports including ZBAD.
Use LTBA and adjust as necessary
You can find LTFM charts here

You can find ZBAD charts by searching here

Everything is controlled by simbrief. If you have a current cycle linked in your profile with a subscription to navigraph it may work. Otherwise the airport simply doesn’t exist in simbriefs records.
That’s actually what I did even before you mentioned it. Thanks anyways!
