Just wanted to ask if anyone was having a similar issue to me…
I just completed at scheduled 14h 50m westbound flight from SYD to DOH - however it only ended up taking me around 12.5 hours (flight time)… before the most recent update, it would take me at least 14 hours, and I always set my own head winds (270° at around 30kts).
My speed was M0.87 and I was flying the A380 - does anyone know why I would have completed this flight in sufficiently quicker time?
Any suggestions/advise is appreciated.

This would be because of the winds most likely, although I normally experience faster flight when going eastbound.
I have four things to say.

You said you put 30 kts headwind for the entire flight. IRL going from SYD to DOH you encounter 130≈ kts winds for a majority of the flight, and a minority of 50 kts tailwind. So you would definitely be going faster.

M0.87 is too fast for the A380, which cruises at M0.85

Why don’t you fly on the live servers? You get the IRL winds, IRL temperatures and your live stats add up with every flight. If you are afraid of get violations just fly on the casual server.

I don’t think this has anything to do with the new update.

On solo (which i assume you’re on since you’re setting your own winds) you can greatly affect cruise speed by changing ambient temperature. I don’t exactly remember which way is which but I believe if you set it (accidentally) to be much hotter you’ll fly way faster when you get to cruise.
