Volotea ended the 717 operations a few days ago. This marks the end of the Boeing 717 operations in Europe.
After Volotea retired the last 717, there will be only 3 airlines that still operate the 717:

  1. Delta Airlines
  2. Hawaiian Airlines
  3. QantasLink (The last 717 operator outside the U.S.)

Or they will lease the Volotea 712s, then retire them three, four years later.

This is so sad to see. I remember seeing one of Voloteas 717’s at LEPA and it was the first and only time I’ve seen a 717. Another beautiful plane we’ve lost

In contributions to the retirement of its MD-95s, they will also add five A320s in the near future, just like @JulianB said.
