Hello folks, welcome to part two of this Atlanta journey. So in this part, I flew another Delta A321 as Delta Airlines Flight 1046 from Minneapolis to the
404 Atlanta. So after arriving into Minneapolis at 5:43 AM, I transferred from Gate C7 to Gate G9. Upon transferring to Gate G9, there were a bunch of passengers inside the airport. Like many people inside the airport early morning because they had an early morning flight to catch. I went over to the Concourse B area and crossed the bridge to get to Concourse G. Getting to Concourse G and to Gate G9, I sat by the window my aircraft wasn’t parked at the gate until 9:00 AM as I spotted other planes taxiing for arrival and for departure. Without further ado, I hope you enjoy this second leg.

Here I was at Gate G9 MSP aboard another A321 aircraft, boarded the plane at 9:40 AM, ready for departure at 10:16 AM. Welcome aboard Delta Airlines Flight 1046 service to Atlanta
At 10:15 AM, we pushed back from Gate G9, started up our CFM56 engines and taxied to RWY 30L for takeoff
Apparently, that Delta A350-900 coming from Seoul I think, landed onto RWY 12R, opposite of RWY 30L as we lined up, so we exited the runway to avoid any conflicts with that A350 aircraft. I wonder why that aircraft did that. But anyways, we lined up RWY 30L and did our takeoff roll after that Delta A350 vacated the runway.
And off we go as we tookoff RWY 30L from MSP airport and we were on our way to Atlanta
Seeing MSP airport in the distance that we tookoff from, we banked to our left, climbed over Savage Minnesota
Then we leveled off at FL350, as we flew over Mulberry Grove
Then we descended very late to where we were way high up, banking to fly right downwind, but we were approaching for RWY 26R for landing into Atlanta. We could’ve flew 360 degrees and then we wouldn’t have been that high. But we managed to make it to our pattern altitude in time for short final RWY 26R before we landed into the ATL
And once again, we made our way on short final RWY 26R for landing after our late descent
And hello
And we’ve arrived at Gate C35 ATL airport at 1:39 PM. So, it was time for me to grab my stuff, exit the aircraft, proceed to baggage claim
That completes the Anchorage to Atlanta journey. I hope that you liked this fourth trip and I went plane spotting on Monday. So stay tune for the ATL plane spotting shots that I’ll post and also for that MIA ![]()
