Fall 2025 Trip to Los Angeles, Honolulu, Anchorage, Atlanta and Miami - Outbound 3: Honolulu to Anchorage Pt. 1

Hello folks, so welcome to my third trip going from Honolulu to Anchorage via Seattle. So on part one of this trip, I flew Hawaiian Airlines Flight 822 from Honolulu to Seattle :united_states:. So now let me tell you what happened earlier this morning as I was going to get the shots to post for this first leg. When I tried to open my replay file, the file was corrupted meaning that it could not be loaded. I was stressed out and I didn’t know what to do. I even went onto the Infinite Flight Community website to search on the cause and what the solution could be to this corruption issue. After researching, I learned that there is nothing that could be done to recover that corrupted file. I tried loading that replay multiple times and it showed the same thing. I even reported ChatGPT about the file corruption issue to see what solution that ChatGPT could give me to recover the corrupted file. One of the solutions could be to restart the iPad and then try loading that file because maybe it could be a loss of memory of that file. So I did that and then the next thing happened, the same error message popped up saying that the file had been corrupted. So I reported that incident to the IFC Support page and I’m hoping to get a reply soon of what can be done for that problem to be solved. Then I decided that I could redo the flight and then hopefully that the replay file would open. After redoing that flight, that reply file was able to open and now I was able to get the shots. Now I am able to get the shots for the second leg on Alaska Airlines from Seattle to Anchorage which will be posted in part two. Now that the problem was solved, let’s continue onto the journey.

So after going plane spotting in Honolulu, I drove around Honolulu. Then on Friday, I went out to Helena’s Hawaiian Food :shallow_pan_of_food::hibiscus:. What I ate was Fried Butterfish Collar, Small Scoop White Rice :cooked_rice:, Macaroni Salad, and a Hawaiian Soda :cup_with_straw::hibiscus:. The food was good. Then after eating at Helena’s Hawaiian Food, I went back to the hotel :hotel: to start my packing for the Anchorage Trip. I was initially planning on going to the Gift Store to buy Hawaiian :hibiscus: souvenir but the store was closed. I checked multiple stores to see which one was still open, but most of the stores were closed. There were closed at 5:30 PM. Therefore, I didn’t get a chance to go and buy a souvenir. So despite not buying a souvenir, the next day at 12:00 PM, it was time for me to check out the hotel and I took the return the car to Budget Car Rental :automobile:. Then I took the shuttle to Terminal 1 to check in. Then after getting my boarding pass, I proceeded to Agricultural inspection for my carry-on luggage to be inspected to ensure that I didn’t pack any fruits :watermelon:, vegetables :green_salad:, or plants :potted_plant:. Since I didn’t pack any of those, I was cleared to head through airport security before I headed to my gate for my 2:50 PM flight to Seattle. So here go the shots upon this first leg:

First Flight: Hawaiian Airlines Flight 822 - Honolulu to Seattle :united_states:
Aircraft: Boeing 787-9

Here I am at Gate A4V HNL airport, the same gate that I arrived at from Los Angeles :palm_tree::united_states: last Sunday. Welcome aboard Hawaiian Airlines Flight 822 service to Seattle, scheduled to depart at 2:50 PM. Let this first leg flight begin.

Pushing back at 2:52 PM and started up our GEnx engines, we taxied to RWY 8R for takeoff, crossing RWY 8L, and taxiing along the Coral Reef :coral:

We lined up on RWY 8R before our takeoff roll from HNL airport. So flight attendants, prepare for takeoff out of Honolulu Hawaii :hibiscus::united_states:, heading to Anchorage Alaska :united_states: via Seattle

And off we go we were airborne out of RWY 8R, off to Seattle :united_states:. Bye bye Honolulu :hibiscus::united_states:, we’ll c ya next time.

Here is the view of Main Islands :hibiscus::united_states: that we were leaving from, making our way to the mainland, during our ascent.

Then we cruised at FL350 over the North Pacific Ocean :ocean: taken from Seat 29J :seat: as it was getting dark. Then for our In-Flight service, we were served Chicken :poultry_leg:, Roasted Vegetables :green_salad:, Mozzarella Shokupan Roll :bread: with Asiago and Parsley Topping and Aloha Mac. And then I got a bottled water :droplet:as my drink for this flight. The food was literally delish. Then I listened to Gamezi Palace :musical_notes: on my iPhone :mobile_phone: :headphone:. Then we later on step climbed to FL390 before we began our descent for Seattle.

Then we began our descent for Seattle :united_states:, in preparation for landing, flying over McChord Field, entering right downwind, aiming for RWY 16R SEA airport.

And we entered short final RWY 16R before we touched down into Seattle-Tacoma Airport :united_states:

And we have landed into SEA airport at 11:15 PM. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Seattle-Tacoma Airport. So we vacated RWY 16R, crossed RWY 16C, then we held short RWY 16L before crossing it because there was a Delta A321 taking off. Then after crossing RWY 16L, we taxied to Gate S15 for arrival.

And we’ve just arrived at Gate S15 SEA airport. Welp, as you can see, it was difficult to get a clear view of my aircraft, so the best view that I could get was the tail and part of that left wing, engine, and like parts of the aircraft. But anyways, off the aircraft, planned to get some sleep :person_in_bed: at Gate S15. Then at 5:00 AM, woke up and headed to Gate C10C for my 8:13 AM flight to Anchorage on Alaska Airlines Flight 59, B737-900 aircraft.

That completes the first leg of the Honolulu to Anchorage journey. I hope that you have enjoyed this flight despite that corrupted replay file. It was frustrating for that to ever happen because then I wouldn’t have posted that trip. That first leg is part of that Anchorage journey along with the second journey and without it, I can’t post the full journey. So I managed to post this first leg. But anyways, stay tune for part two and the Anchorage plane spotting series. Without further ado, be safe and have a blessed day.
