Hello folks, in this part, this is where I’ll be covering this final leg going from Denver to St. Louis on Southwest Airlines Flight 899. So laying over in Denver, I called my Uncle to let him know that I will be arriving in St. Louis by 8:30 PM to pick me up from the airport at Terminal 2. During the layover before getting on my plane, I was thinking of getting something to eat before heading to baggage claim and exiting the airport once I arrive, but I wouldn’t have time for that. Thus it was a Saturday, meaning that Uncle was gonna be home, so that’s why I called to let him know that. This was because I was planning on requesting Lyft to bring me home just in case he was gonna be working at night, and getting back to St. Louis by 8:30 PM. So, like I said, I called him and said that he’ll be there to pick me up at Terminal 2 and bring me home. So, I hope that you enjoy this final flight as I conclude this Fall 2024 Trip. So here go the final shots.
Final Flight: Southwest Airlines Flight 899 - Denver to St. Louis 🇺🇸
Aircraft: Boeing 737-700
Origin: Denver International Airport (KDEN)
Destination: St. Louis Lambert Int’l Airport (KSTL)
Flight Time: 2hrs
Server: Expert
Here I am at Gate C31 DEN airport, laying over as my plane is parked at the gate, before it I guess started loading up catering, for our snacking service, next to a Southwest B737-800 which was leading to Los Angeles 🌴🇺🇸. So, here we go as we board this flight to St. Louis.
After pushing back from Gate C31, we started taxiing out of Gate C31 to RWY 8 for takeoff as we taxied towards RWY 17s before making a left turn onto next taxiway
After a few minutes of taxiing, we started hopping on RWY 8 before lining up, and beginning our takeoff roll out of DEN airport
And off we go as we tookoff RWY 8 from Denver, on our way to the 🇺🇸 314 St. Louis
After taking off from DEN airport, we climbed somewhere over FL160, flying over Byers Colorado 🇺🇸, going eastward for STL.
Then we leveled off at FL370 before snacks and beverages were served by the SWA FAs. For snacks, it came out to be Brittle Brownies, and Snack Mix. So I got those with a cup of Sprite 🥤 once again and my Chips a Hoy cookies 🍪. Then listening to music 🎶🎧📱 after snacking, we flew over Clay Center Kansas 🇺🇸 before we started entering the Missouri airspace. By then, that’s when trash was collected. Then I had to use the restroom 🚻 at the lavatory to take care of myself. Then chewed bubblegum for the remainder of the flight.
Then entering the Missouri, we began our descent to where my ears started to hurt really bad and swallowed by its saliva to get it to pop as we flew over Warrington Missouri 🇺🇸 before making our way getting into the St. Louis area, aiming for RWY 12L STL for landing.
And as mentioned earlier, we were on short final RWY 12L STL airport before we touchdown into the 🇺🇸 314 St. Louis.
And after we landed into St. Louis, we vacated RWY 12L, then crossing RWY 12R before we taxied to Gate E38 for our arrival into STL. Welcome back to the 🇺🇸 314 folks.
And the flight has been complete as we arrived at Gate E38 STL airport. So time to grab my stuff, exit the plane, take this quick shot of the aircraft that I flew on before heading to baggage claim 🛄 and then leaving the airport to be picked up by my Uncle. One awkward thing when taking that pic was that there was no good view of Gate E38 where it got blocked off by that jetbridge, making it hard for me to take that shot. So I went over to Gate E34 where I was able to get the view of the aircraft. So anyways, off to baggage claim 🛄 to get picked up by Uncle.
And that concludes the Fall 2024 Trip to Chicago, New York, Orlando, and San Francisco. I hope you enjoyed all my journeys including the plane spotting series. So stay tune for more traveling and plane spotting series soon. Without further ado, have a blessed day and be safe, see ya in the skies.
