Is that military time?
I don’t know if that was you guys earlier, I was controlling KSAN tower for the last 40 mins and I cleared a beautiful AF1 / F-14 simultaneous takeoff from 02L and 02R.

It’s used in the military and aviation to help with global time convertion.

If you’re in the US, this will be helpful to help you understand from military time to Zulu time. If it is 1200 (military) and you’re in the pacific, you’ll add 7 hours which makes it 1900Z. Zulu time is used for global time conversion so that everyone is on the same page. If you just said “flight at 1200,” there would be 4 different times just in the US alone. With Zulu time, it puts everyone on the same page. If you need more help understanding it or if it doesn’t make sense, feel free to let me know and I’ll try to clarify it.
