F-18 Afterburner?

Hi all, whats going on with the F-18 burners?

I know that there are other posts regarding the issue and how they just look like two traffic cones. However, none of those posts ever got answers…

To me it seems like a quick fix to just change the burners back to how they used to look. Its so disappointing that there is so much (sometimes too much) focus on commercial aircraft.

TLDR: It’s not a “quick fix”. Anything graphics related needs to essentially be done from scratch to fit the new rendering engine.
