Ye I flew LA to LV yesterday, had around 90kt tailwind but the plane was ALL over the place, I mean really rocking, AP was struggling and it was genuinely making me nervous lol (it’s just a game lol). Was very bad turbulence. Like you say, not sure how real this translates to the real world. Thankfully by the time I got to Vegas it wasn’t so bad and landed comfortably.
It strikes me that most users take strong wind as turbulence, whereas one can experience strong turbulence with light or moderate wind.
I once had my TBM going up and down with 0.6 to 2.5Gs when the wind speed was about 40kt only.

I was flying once to portland maine on IF and I had a 145kt crosswind. The turbulence is usually worst when you are transitioning from higher winds to slower winds.
