Today while flying in the socal region I had a great flight from KPSP to KSAN. the ATC were. Very good, and worked efficiently. But I fly on expert for two reasons
To have good pilots around me
To have realism
And realism is just non-exsistant on expert now, and so is the good pilots. Now I see ATC having to tell them to “check help pages, and please follow instructions” and I’m sick of it. The fact that there is an air Berlin A319 at KPSP blows my mind. Or an Air France A380.
It is just unprofessional to not fly aircraft dedicated to that region/area. (Meaning that if you have a BA A380 it’s fine to have it at KLAX but not KPSP.) something needs to change. Maybe where if you are not in a livery dedicated to the region you can’t enter. This is decided on the aircraft. If you are in an air Berlin A330 you can go to big airports in the regions (that air Berlin flies into) but, if you are in an Air Berlin A319 you should not be in the U.S I know most of this will be fixed when Global comes out. But I’m still frustrated I landed at KSAN today. Parked fueled up, and set a new flight plan right back to KPSP, and ended the flight before I took of because there were 4 787s at the airport all in foreign liverys that would not come to KSAN.
If you ever wondered, I always land to KLAX(for example) with my Turkish Airlines 777-300ER and the real flight number is TK0009. I always try to make real life flights. There’s just some people that don’t do that.
Yes. And I said “I know Global will fix most of this” but it just seems Global will never come out. They said “summer” and it is summer. Then they said “end of the month” it’s the ends of the month. And they should not have teased Global until it is within being done in the next couple months.
I get why you are mad about the Air Berlin part, but do remember that this is a game/simulator. IF doesn’t just make planes and say " OK HERE YOU GO, NOW FLY HERE ONLY". You should be able to fly whatever plane you want, and I doubt that you have never flown a plane that doesn’t go to the Airport. Those pilots don’t just get the grades to fly on expert for nothing.
I like your passion for realism by using specific aircraft per region. But again, if we focused too much on realism would some aircraft liveries be obsolete because their airlines don’t fly to the regions IRL some include
Many Q400 liveries(SA Airlink etc)
Air China A319
Kuwait A320
Saudia A319
ETC

But I did not make the topic as a feature request. That just is a suggestion (which technically is a feature) but if I wanted to make a feature request I would have made one.
I can see your frustration with people not following instructions on expert server, however this is a flight simulator, and anyone is allowed to use any livery they choose as long as the airplane is allowed at that airport. Expert is reserved for players who know how to follow instructions and operate aircraft in a professional way, not based upon one’s ability not to choose an aircraft with a specific livery.
I agree on the realism part, but in a region in which the plane won’t go. (e.g. Ethiopian Dash8) If a user wishes to fly the aircraft, I guess he may fly it in whichever region he wishes to :)
