Expedite traffic on ...?

So this was the situation I was faced with…
Do I tell GOO11 Exit runway when able, Experten traffic on base or on final ?

I believe it’s base but I don’t really know a lot about being a ATC

Hey I’m there!

Say final. He’s kind of in between, yes, but he’s about to be established on final. Say that.

Same, nice flying close to you :)

If it’s in between you could say traffic to follow is on Binal, or Fase.

On a more serious note, doesn’t ‘traffic on Base’ refer to traffic waiting on the platform, or lined up, rather than left/right base?

(@EdgyEugene the truth may came out now 👆🏼 :-)

I feel like if this was the case, it would be phrased in a way as not to be confused with the traffic leg. I think it means for traffic flying tight patterns whose turn to final might be fairly close to the runway. You don’t need to expedite for departure traffic. Of course, waiting is annoying, but not necessary

I’m no expert but he’s on final. Base I believe is when they are lining up and waiting on the runway.

Simple question, isn’t he making 90° turn and facing headwind so he is on final right? Unless he is far side that’s obviously upwind.

No that is not what base is. This will provide you with the information you need.
