Excessive Fuel Issue

Posting this in general or now to gather more information before elevating it to support.

I am experiencing excessive remaining fuel after some medium and all long haul flights. So much so that I am overweight for landing. I have been keeping meticulously logs and noticed my actual fuel burn is not what it plans for in the FPL. I use Simbrief for my route and fuel planning. Below is a snippet of the last two weeks.

Observations:

  1. Flight duration delta shows no pattern.

  2. There is a pattern with the A350-900 but is that the airframe setup or because its used for long haul flights?

  3. Two of the medium haul flights in the A339 show an excessive fuel burn delta.

  4. Increasing the fuel factor from M05 -M07 is improving the situation but is this a bandaid to a bigger issue?

The only common denominator that comes to mind as to why this happens on longer flights is AP+ but I don’t want to jump to that yet without gathering more data and feedback. Thoughts?

This is the reason. Fuel burn on AP+ is very inaccurate (too low in most cases). Hopefully in future updates it will be adjusted.

Just utilize the fuel dump feature if youre using a plane that has it

 I was worried to finger AP+ because its such an awesome feature and was tip toeing carefully but I couldn’t not notice the pattern emerging. Im cranking the fuel factor up to M10 and see if that bandaid brings it closer to real world numbers on arrival. Thanks @BennyBoy_Alpha :+1:

:scream: but the environment! Jokes asside, StarluxVA pilots strive for perfection. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

777 family is worse. I set M22 for them to get close to FPL
