Events splashscreen and searching

Was having trouble searching events and then realized that the splashscreen events list was the rationale behind the current time-date format.
The splashscreen was a nice feature to see the events listed in an easy to read format. On this site, the current time date format is ignored in searches and reading through the Live:Events category is cumbersome to scan through.

Searched around for awhile here and on discourse to see if these topics were covered and since this overlaps into Live and Features it seemed best to post here.

Does someone have a search method that works?
Solutions: fix the search engine, fix time-date format, or bring back the splash screen?

Currently the only logical way to scroll through #live:events is by just that scrolling. You can do an advanced search if needed. If something like the events plug-in was added it would make it easier but for now, just scroll and search.

I’m going to make my own public calander somehow and share it with the community.
