Ethiopian Airlines Flight N798PF near misses OIO group 737

Today, OIO group flight 23 near misses Ethiopian Airlines Flight N798PF after landing at KNUC

The OIO plane’s tail was hurt because of the impact of the landing gear of the 787 and the 787-8 also suffered some landing gear damage but nobody got hurt and Ethiopian Airlines Flight N798PF flew to its destination and landed there safely.

I would think that the tail would explode, so as the landing gear

I would’ve landed back at NUC as the 787 propably didn’t like your tail’s impact.

Oh. Did I mention. There was no tower so that may explain the Cessna taking off behind the 787

Wow, that took a while to notice the Cessna there. 😂😂

I bet the air traffic controller got fired . A 737 OIO, Ethiopian 788, and Cessna on the runway at the same time lol

Is it stil a near miss when you hit?

I guess hitting the tail is a near “miss”

I believe the FAA is considering changing the wording to “near hit” rather than miss. Reasoning being “near miss” implies that something bad could have happened but was avoided, whereas “near hit” does not imply an impact but still a serious error on behalf of one entity.
