How do you authorise an escort with the player or the tower?
Not much is required… I just sent a pm to Mac here on the IFC!
With tower, you can put “flight of two” in your callsign. Ensure that the other person also has “flight of 2” in their callsign, and that they have agreed to the escort.

Or you could do as @TaipeiGuru said if you are staying together for the whole flight.
This time we took off separately and I joined him for about a minute :)
