Error 8 Loading issue after hotfix release

iOS 16.7.10

So I’m having a technical issue with Infinite Flight. I noticed the new hotfix that just got pushed it was to fix “most” cases of error 8 app loading issues. However my iPad loaded Infinite flight immediately after updating the hotfix… I thought all was fixed. Then I closed the app and came back later and now after restarting, resetting network settings on iPad and router it still won’t load.

However on my iPhone 15 running iOS 18 something, it loads no issues on the same network as my iPad. If I hotspot my iPad from my phone, everything loads except terrain. If I switch to wifi after I get into the app from hotspoting, I end up crashing into the ground with a false ground height of 1500 feet. ( I crashed on a ILS approach, thought I was ~1600 ft and apparently I was on the ground).

I know my tablet is a dinosaur, but it still runs IF ok before the update. Also my network connection is SpaceX Starlink, not that it should be an issue.

Has anyone still had persistent issues after the hotfix / have a fix?

Sorry to hear you’re still having issues.

It might sound random - but one of the root causes for the issues we had with Code 8 before the hotfix was a desync between the app and App Store.

Could you try signing out of your Apple-ID on the device and sign back in and see if it helps?

I signed in and out of my Apple ID and still no change. Still won’t load on the start screen. Darn hey. What else should I try?
