I still use it today to suggest routes at the times I want, but thank you very much for this project, which helped me a lot.
Thanks

Oh! I would like to know if it is at least possible to maintain the website. The flight time search is still very useful…

So in my opinion I don’t think it’s the end. It can be a personalized flight search site. (That was a suggestion @Chris_S 😁😉💫)

Man this is sad. I used it ALL the time for random flights. I’m really in need of an alternate…

I used it for random flights too. When it goes, i would to look at a map and guess random airports. I load them into simbrief to see if it’s long enough.

Use flightmapper.net. You can select two random airports in the world and this website will show you possible flights between or near those two airports. It will greatly improve your flight selection, if you are following the process you listed above. You can also use this website to select airports, and then look at all direct flights departing from that airport; with aircraft type and flight time. I use this to continuously hop around the world from one destination to another using real world flights and liveries

FPL to IF is the most concise and easy to use flight planning website I have ever used, and it caters well for my non-stop flight commitments. I pity and regret its discontinuation, but I will always remember it.

I used to use FPLtoIF all the time. The only thing that drove me crazy is the fact that FPLtoIF couldn’t use random routing when getting a flight plan that crossed the Atlantic during times that the NATs were either not set or not up to date. Other then that I have learned alot about flight planning from your site bruv and it has helped me a ton with realism. Now if i ever want to do Dubai to Houston I can just go to Radarbox.com and search up EK211 and get the full detailed flight plan and tweak the information to infinite flight standards.

What I also do is if the NATs are not available or I won’t be able to cross in time before the change, I will look for flights that cross over green land and try to find a common GPS waypoint and connect the flight plans together from my original position to my destination. I will also use flightradar24s navaids to see what waypoints and airways can connect to my departure airport or arrival airport. I don’t know why but I love the challenge in creating the perfect flight plan.

Thanks Chris for this great creation as I wouldn’t have gotten heavily into flight planning like I have been for 3 years like I have. Your tool initiated the foundation for me to learn about flight planning.

Ive tried to use the website today and yesterday but no luck. Is the site just under maintenance or is it done with?

The site is no longer being supported so if it works it works and if it doesn’t it doesn’t.

Please read the first post of this topic.

Ok, my mistake, I understand what happened

It’s still quick maintenance. Hopefully come back soon

It won’t be back. It’s been shut down permanently.
