Emirates in Dubai

Hey IFC! Here are a few picture I took while flying around on Solo. I’ve been sticking to the US lately, so today I decided to take a visit to the Arabian Peninsula. More specifically the UAE. I took the B77W and flew around Dubai. I won’t be posting the info about each picture, nor the Rating Poll/Favorite Picture Poll.So here’s how it turned out:

Server: Solo
Airline/Aircraft: Emirates Boeing 777-300ER
Route: OMDB-OMDB
Flight Time: About 15 minutes

As always, thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think!

Thanks! I was going to make the plane a silhouette, but you could still see the window lights 😂
It looked cool too because you couldn’t tell if it was coming or going

I should’ve been higher, I was but I thought I was too high for the picture to work out like the plane was the Palm Island

Did the moon shrink or something on the 3rd picture? 😂

Nice pictures!

Yes! At first I wished we would get a different aircraft reworked, but I forgot how cool the -300 is!

I am thinking of making another #screenshots-and-videos Spotting post this week.
My question is what airport should I use? If anyone has any cool ideas don’t hesitate to comment below!

I recently did a group flight into ZULS with @OldAirChinaVirtual, and it was fantastic. If you’re a sucker for fun approaches or weird, but fun, terrain, I’d say ZULS is a good choice. Be aware, it’s elevation is very high, along with many airports in the surrounding area, such as Daocheng Yading Airport, the highest elevation airport in the world, so the landing will take a lot longer than usual due to the density of the air!

Ok that’s cool! I’ll have to look and see what airlines fly there

According to Wikipedia,

Air China, Chengdu Airlines, China Easter Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Chongqing Airlines, Lucky Air, Sichuan Airlines, Tibet Airlines, West Air, and Xiamen Air.

Don’t let the long runway fool you though, I would assume that, like many airports in the surrounding area, the biggest aircraft that can land there is an A319 or A320 due to the density altitude.
