As promised, here’s another flight from South Australia! Emirates first began service to the South Australian capital of Adelaide in 2012, carrying some 165,000 passengers between the two cities in 2019, its last year of service before the COVID-19 Pandemic led the airline to suspend the route. However, after an almost 5-year hiatus, Emirates returned to Adelaide in October 2024 with the 777-200LR, the least-numerous and longest-ranged type in the fleet.

We’ve woken up after a very restful sleep on the other side of the Indian Ocean, over Oman. Emirates has refreshed the interiors on their 777-200LR fleet, going from a 2-3-2 arrangement in business class to 2-2-2, which is much more spacious. The privacy screens between seats are a bit lacking, though, and the footwells can be cramped, but other than that, it’s a very good product.
