So I ran out of fuel and when I landed I couldn’t do anyt hung I couldn’t even tell them I has a fuel emergency so when I get into expert and if I have these tyes of emergencys what can I do I’m just blocking the runway and that isn’t good. Please help.
Divert before you get to this situation. You would be ghosted on the expert server 🙂
Realistic way
Simple answer, just turn off the engines and leave the game! You will not lose any XP. You would not expect any towing trucks in Infinite Flight now. 😅
Take more fuel. I usually put an extra fuel time of around 1:30 on short hauls and around 2 hours for long hauls. Use this Website to plan your flight. I don’t usually take the fuel calculation. I just add on 1-2 hours from the original flight time. If you do this then you will be fine!
If you satisfy certain conditions, I believe you’ll be able to notify ATC of your fuel remaining. However, I do not believe it is an excuse to intentionally force this situation as it shows badly on your airmanship.
Although you would be given the priority to land in real life, you cannot expect that on the expert server and expect they let you land (just an advice).
In a legitimate situation, you’ll likely have 30mins of fuel or something, if you are lucky, you get to land. If you arn’t, exercise logic and consult the PIC in you, is it safe? Should I divert?
Looking at the situation at hand, and acknowledging everyone in being correct above…
You had the opportunity in this situation to make a quick runway exit, it appears your speed is slow enough that you could have turned on either taxi way, when you have a good amount of airspeed, enough to make the landing that you did, it will give you enough ground speed to have not stopped where you did. This would’ve been a ghost on expert if you were there for an extended period of time, and is very unprofessional behavior.
Plan ahead, remember this is a sim, and dont make a decision that just gets you stuck there…
What Misha said is a realistic way, if you feel you don’t have enough fuel, divert to the nearest exceptable airport. (That means with an actual runway, and not like a grass feild.) If you do that in real life, that could leave a runway in-operable for over 1/2 an hour, and at an airport like Heathrow, it would have a lot of delays.
Quit your flight and get outta there.
That’s because you have to fly for one hour to declare emergency. Sorry for asking that but was that on purpose? Your flight time is 15 mins, I don’t think you can screw with this
For realisms sake I would’ve diverted. I usually pack an hour of extra fuel just in case.
Just use a fuel planner and everything will be fine
Plan your fuel before you do your flight to avoid this.
If you get into emergency fuel you land as soon as you can as long as it is safe for passengers. I hope you weren’t doing the thing where you choose a Ryanair jet and put it to low fuel on purpose because if you did do that it is 100% your fault :P Anyway if you want to do realistic flight plans definitely do fpltoif.com as @Airbus_Driver suggested.
Or you can do what I did and dead stick it into some field :). Passengers never even knew 😀
They would probably realize once the engines stop making noise, must have been pretty good calculations if you landed without power in a large commercial aircraft though.
Interestingly enough we looked on live flight and I somehow managed to miss every tree :). You can actually refuel and take off again, like it never happened. 😎 that’s how we roll at Air Patria baby.
You more than likely touched down at 110-ish knots… could you not’ve rolled out onto the taxiway without coming to a dead stop on the runway?
Also, where did you come from to the point where your flight time was only 15 minutes?
