Emergency and diversion history aboard 747-8 today!

Everything began well. We charged the fret, 5 Tesla’s and some humanitary cargo. Weigh was around 25.000 KG . Pretty light. The fuel truck came and filled out aircraft with the mighty fuel (hum) . The flight was originally supposed to be an 9H flight, knowing that the dear 747 is having a little issue with the fuel consumption, we filled the beast for a 13H flight.

We pushed back, taxied, and even took off!
Everything was go, sound and clear. We said bye to IAH and went to cruise at FL330.

Cruising normally then suddenly my 👀 went to the ECAM and what i see? The fuel descending by 2.500 kg every 2 min!!! . I almost jumped to Mars. I showed this to my colleague and he passed out. 😂 I was now alone, in my seat looking at the fuel ⛽ descending liter by liter… -500 -1200 -2000 . The reason came back to me when i realized that i have enough fuel to fly to… Groenland. Eh. I squawked 7700 and here’s a part of the conversation with ATC.:
ATC :“cx7700. what’s the reason of the squawking?”
CX: well, hum, we have a fuel leak in here, we’re diverting to MEM.
ATC : lemme give a call to FedEX , they will be happy to have you there 😂😂
CX: Enough for today.

Disconnection

Well i eventually made it to MEM where ofc, 2 FedEx plane where looking at my soul and judging my Plane. I stopped at a FedEx ramp and ran away on the tarmac like Forrest Gump.

This is how it’s ends!

Was that funny?

Plot twist: i was heading to Luxembourg normally…
